"EG - SKEJTEN (“OAK AT SKEJTEN”)"

This multicoloured necklace was inspired by the beautiful colours in the painter Maja Lisa Engelhardt’s work “Eg - Skejten” (1990) which I enjoy looking at every day in my dining-room. The title of the painting refers to a nature reserve near Guldborgsund where the artist stayed at the “Skejte”-house (belonging to the manor of Fuglsang on Lolland) during the summer of 1990. The place-name refers to being unsteady on your feet. |
