“Ichnusa” is the Sardinian word for Sardinia. It means “footprint”, and legend has it that it was God who placed his footprint where the island is situated. Sardinia has a very varied and fascinating folklore and lots of dramatic rituals and local festivals which can be experienced at Il Museo Etnografico in Nuoro and live the year round in the towns and villages. Impressions from these popular traditions inspired me to these colourful necklaces. |
