When Yves Saint Laurent’s perfume “Yvresse” was launched in 1993, it was called “Champagne”. It did not take long for the Champagne lobby to notice it and force YSL to re-christen the perfume… The name was altered to “Yvresse”, a play on the French word for tipsiness, “ivresse”. I just managed to get hold of the banned little bottle, so of course it had to be made into a “historic” jewel. |
